|Sparkbrook Ageing Better Hub launched|

| ||The East Birmingham Collective, which the Muath Trust is part of, held the official launch of Sparkbrook Ageing Better Hub this morning at the Bordesley Centre.|
The programme started with a welcome and introduction by Nigel Brookhouse CEO - Narthex Sparkhill, the lead organisation for this project.
The Lord Mayor of Birmingham Councillor Carl Rice then officially launched the Hub and spoke about the importance of the project for the city's growing ageing population.
The main speaker at the event was Stephen Raybould, Programme Director Ageing Better Birmingham, who spoke about the programme in more detail and how it hopes to support and encourage activities delivered by local groups that will help in reducing isolation amongst the elderly population in the city.
The programme which was attended by a good number of elderly as well as representatives of local organisations concluded with refreshments and lunch.
